Here's the truth.
11 years in the music industry taught me a lot: mostly what doesn’t matter.
I chased the shiny shit.
Wrote 3 tunes a day in Nashville. Lived out of vans.
Played the LA game. Acted on television and movies.
I tried on every sound, every city, every version of myself the industry told me might work.
But the one thing I never outran was home.
Ohio-Core started as a joke;
A tongue-in-cheek way to put a name to the sound that raised me.
Ripping guitars. Rustbelt soul. Suburban heartbreak.
But the more I leaned in, the more I realized… it’s not a joke at all.
This place is the sound.
This place is the story.
No matter where I’ve been, the Midwest always reminded me how incredible people can be. That quiet strength. That grit. That open heart.
Maybe that’s why they call it the Heartland.
I’m still just an Italian kid from a second-gen immigrant family.
Born in a little suburb outside Cleveland.
And now I’m taking the long way home.
Ohio’s getting its sound. Like Jersey had Springsteen, we got something of our own now.
